| Balcke-Dürr to supply new Moisture Separator Reheaters for the Beznau nuclear power plant in Switzerland |

Balcke-Dürr GmbH won a contract to modernize the 4 moisture separator reheaters (MSRs) of the Swiss Beznau Nuclear Power Plant Unit 2. The value of the order for the renewal of the MSRs is approx. EUR 4 million.
High-quality materials have been selected to ensure a long service life of the new horizontal MSRs. The 4 MSRs will be replaced during the regular overhaul outage in the summer of 2007.
In the run-up to the implementation of this modernization project, the Swiss Federal Council granted an operation license to Unit 2 for an unlimited period. The operator of the nuclear power plant, which is located northwest of Zurich, is Nordostschweizerische Kraftwerke AG (NOK), a subsidiary of the Swiss Axpo Group. The pressurized water reactor was commissioned in the early-1970s and has an electrical capacity of 380 megawatts.
